This is a hands-on opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and contributing directly to critical accounting and reporting functions.The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in an Excel-heavy environment, can quickly learn existing processes, and thrives in situations where flexibility and adaptability are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close & Financial ReportingSupport month-end and quarter-end close activitiesAssist with consolidation schedules and financial reporting processesMaintain and update Excel-based reporting and consolidation filesPerform financial reviews and reasonableness checks on resultsAccounting & ReconciliationsPrepare account reconciliations and supporting schedulesAssist with documenting accounting procedures and workflowsPerform routine financial analysis and balance validationSupport the accuracy and completeness of financial reportingAudit, Compliance & Tax SupportRespond to internal and external audit requestsGather supporting documentation and prepare audit schedulesAssist with compliance reporting and filing requirementsSupport tax-related requests, trial balance preparation, and related schedulesProcess Improvement & DocumentationDocument existing accounting processes and reporting workflowsSupport knowledge transfer and process improvement initiativesAssist with reporting dependencies tied to current systems and processesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of accounting, financial reporting, or corporate accounting experienceExperience supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reportingStrong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and complex spreadsheetsExperience supporting audits, compliance reporting, or tax-related requestsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesPreferred ExperienceMulti-entity accounting or consolidation experienceExperience in manufacturing, publishing, distribution, consumer products, or similar industriesExposure to audit preparation and tax support activitiesExperience working within manual, legacy, or transitioning system environmentsIdeal CandidateA hands-on contributor rather than a reviewerComfortable rolling up their sleeves in a lean finance environmentAble to learn processes quickly and operate with minimal directionStrong in Excel and financial analysisAdaptable, resourceful, and detail-oriented
