Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure and equipment installation projects across aviation and airport facilities in the Las Vegas area and the greater Southwestern United States. This role manages multi-location, multi-vendor projects involving a range of equipment types and requires the ability to operate autonomously while directing both internal teams and external subcontractors. The position may be remote-eligible but requires travel more than 50% of the time. The Project Manager will report to a Field Manager, provide regular project updates to leadership, and balance short- and long-term planning to ensure projects are delivered on schedule without disrupting airport operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own project delivery from initiation through completion, ensuring quality installations are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Assess project scope and develop specifications, cost estimates, and timelines
  • Source, vet, and manage subcontractors, confirming required insurance, permits, and security clearances
  • Oversee field installation and troubleshoot equipment or service issues in coordination with subcontractors and site personnel
  • Coordinate equipment purchasing, shipping, and installation logistics
  • Schedule and supervise installation crews
  • Manage project budgets and track invoice payments
  • Prepare project proposals and cost estimates
  • Schedule required inspections and oversee commissioning of completed installations
  • Provide regular, consistent project status updates to leadership
  • Research applicable approval and permitting processes for each project
  • Support long-term planning by researching capital equipment needs and mapping existing equipment across assigned properties
Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or trade certification preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management
  • Proven track record managing successful construction, buildout, or installation projects
  • Significant experience with commercial construction, renovation, or buildout projects
  • Experience working in an airport or government agency environment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans
  • Working knowledge of electrical procedures and techniques
  • Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to pass required background checks and security clearances, including a TSA background check for facility badging
