Brooklyn Nanny Position

A growing professional family in Brooklyn is seeking a full-time nanny for their toddler, with a baby on the way. This position is live-out. The schedule is Monday through Friday, full-time with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

The family is looking for someone who is truly experienced, proactive, highly capable, and comfortable taking full ownership of both the child's care and the household responsibilities that come with the position. This is not a role for basic childcare only. The family needs someone who takes initiative without needing to be reminded of the responsibilities of the role, and who approaches the position at a significantly higher level, including proactively managing meals, groceries, and the upkeep of the areas the child uses throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, engaged care for a toddler, with newborn support once the baby arrives
• Take full ownership of the child's routine and activities, proactively planning and adjusting without needing direction
• Meal preparation for the child, including proactive planning of meals and snacks
• Grocery shopping and errands, including picking up items for the child
• Children's laundry
• Toy and clothing organization
• Keeping the areas the child uses tidy and maintained throughout the day
• Helping maintain the household as it relates to the child's care and daily routine
• Activity planning

Qualifications

• Experience caring for toddlers and newborns
• Proactive, highly capable, and comfortable taking initiative without prompting
• Calm and composed demeanor
• Open to traveling with the family, preferred but not required
• Must comfortable around pets in the home

Requirements

• Private household experience
• Valid US work authorization
• Strong verifiable references
• Must be willing to sign an NDA

Salary and Benefits

• $40 to $45 per hour
