Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: 11701 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223
Contract Duration: August 9, 2026 - February 8, 2027
Hours: 35-40 hours/week
Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:30 PM; rotational Saturdays, 6:30 AM-12:30 PM
Contract Duration: 6+ months contract with possible extension

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Verify patient identification and demographics before specimen collection.
• Properly label, handle, prepare, and process specimens according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Follow infection control, safety, and established laboratory procedures.
• Provide professional, compassionate patient service and create a comfortable environment during blood collection.
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time in a fast-paced environment.
• Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
• Demonstrate strong organizational commitment and promote a positive image with patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent - Required .
• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience - Required .
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred .
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data-entry experience required.
• Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on staffing needs.
