About the Position The Research Assistant supports the ongoing research in theMarshall lab, specifically investigating the cellular and molecularmechanisms of Alzheimer's disease. The position involves executingand optimizing experimental protocols, maintaining cell culturelines, assisting with microscopy-based analyses, and contributingto data collection and interpretation. The Research Assistant willalso play a key role in laboratory organization, inventorymanagement, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatorystandards. Primary Responsibilities Perform molecular and cellular assays (35%) Prepare reagents, buffers, and experimental materials Maintain and culture cell lines Record, organize, and maintain accurate experimental data Assist in experimental design and troubleshooting (30%) Maintain laboratory organization (15%) Communicate effectively with lab members (20%) Line of Report The Research Assistant reports to Courtney Marshall, Assistant Professor of Neuroscience.
